Trade Technology: Today’s Focuses, Tomorrow’s Promises

Trade Technology: Today’s Focuses, Tomorrow’s Promises

The development and deployment of innovative technologies in banking has given rise to new digitization efforts, corporate and bank consortia, solutions for compliance, and promises of more efficient processing in trade. Nevertheless, implementation of these new technologies and the resulting impact have been inconsistent. With this backdrop, CGI and BAFT conducted a survey of BAFT members in the summer of 2020 to obtain market intelligence on the current opportunities and challenges provided by these new technologies. This session will discuss the results of the survey and provide insight on the current state of technological advancement in trade.
